In 1992, Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage at Alaska Pacific University. Bossard began her career in the industry of commercial seafood in 1999. At the time she worked on Murat Aritan's halibut 65 feet boat. It was later transformed into a fishing tender. Bossard has been married to Aritan she has joined alliance to gain access to their businesses. They are supporters of conservative and sustainable renewable resource management. Otolith launched its direct market wholesale distributorship in Philadelphia in the year Bossard came back from her home at home with her daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre 1year old, and Andre 1, to Philadelphia. In 2007, Bossard a mother of two children Bella aged 3 and Andre 1, and returning to Philadelphia after a trip from Canada, launched Otolith as a direct market wholesale seafood distributor. Bossard and her son Andre and daughter Isabella are scheduled to return to Southeast Alaska every summer as deckhands during the harvest of wild salmon. Two months after fishing with hooks along with lines and a 42-foot salmon trolling machine they have joined Aritan and sold local processors of seafood.
